It is said that when Demeter was searching for her
daughter she was followed by Poseidon and in order to
escape him, she turned herself into a white mare. Never
daunted, Poseidon promptly turned into a white stallion
and pursued her in that form.  

That child was ARION - The winged horse of myth, war
steed of Heracles 1, and later known to the people of
Arcadia as PEGASUS.
